Treating Gynecomastia

Published on April 3, 2018

Is your self-confidence suffering because of your gynecomastia? Gynecomastia is a medical condition that causes the male breasts to become enlarged. The problem is not caused by excess fat accumulation in the chest. Instead, it is caused by the presence of excess glandular tissue (or an excess of both types of tissue).

In order to correct gynecomastia, the excess glandular tissue will need to be surgically excised. A small incision will need to be made in order to remove the excess tissue. If there is any excess fat in the area, it can be removed with liposuction. Excess skin may also need to be removed for better aesthetic results.

At Paramount Plastic Surgery, we can provide you with the surgical care you need to restore your self-confidence. If you are suffering from gynecomastia, contact our office today to schedule a consultation with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Keith Jeffords.
