Dr. Jeffords spoke at the 101st Hinman Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Dr. Jeffords' topic was "About Face and Body: What Dental Providers Should Know About Plastic Surgery". This was Dr. Jeffords' second invitation to speak at the Hinman. He spoke in 2010 at this prestigious meeting.
The Hinman Dental Meeting is one of the world's largest dental meetings attracting approximately 24,000 participants annually to Atlanta. This meeting was named for Thomas Hinman, President of Atlanta Dental College (which became Emory University School of Dentistry). Dr. Jeffords is a 1988 graduate of Emory dental school and also has a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial. Given these backgrounds, Dr. Jeffords knows what dentists are asked by their patients regarding facial aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Jeffords also has a medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Pittsburgh.
