The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus returned to Berlin to sing with the Berlin Philharmonic in the famed Philharmonie Hall for a series of concerts December 18-20, 2010. This is the 3rd appearance in 6 years by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus in Berlin. They performed Brahms' "Ein Deutsches Requiem" (A German Requiem) receiving thunderous applause at each performance.
Dr. Jeffords has been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Chorus for 16 years. As a teen, Dr. Jeffords played trumpet in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. Upon graduation from Lee University, he became of member of the Atlanta Symphony Chorus under their founding director Robert Shaw until he left Atlanta for residency. Upon completion of his Plastic Surgery residency, he reauditioned for the chorus.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus has won 14 Grammy Awards and is considered to be one of the best choral ensembles in the world.
